How long does it take to get a licence?
The total time required for the communication process is very variable, being largely dependent on the extent to which the IT systems are equipped to communicate with each other. Changes may need to be made to make the protocols suitable for the communication tests. The time required is therefore very dependent on the existing infrastructure and the resources available. You could consider outsourcing the communication tests to a specialist company. Providing the required financial securities can also affect how long the process takes.
Can I get my licence before I am ready to do business and want to use it?
You can get a licence before you use our services. There is no requirement to use the licence as soon as you get it. Nor will the licence run out. However, you do have to pay the standard TTF fee as soon as you are registered on the TTF.
How much does it cost to get a licence?
There are no costs associated with obtaining a licence and we will not send you a bill. Of course, you will have to bear the costs of any measures you have to take to meet the conditions for obtaining a licence.
If I want to transport gas to an industry, do I need an LB licence?
An LB licence is required if you want to transport gas to a transfer point (exit point) with a regional gas transmission network. If an industry is connected to the regional grid, an LB licence is required. If the industry is connected to our national gas transmission network, then an LA licence is sufficient. There are more than 350 end-users directly connected to the national gas transmission system. See the appendix with the industrial connection points for the current end-users.
How do I book wheeling?
A separate portfolio must be created for wheeling. If this portfolio is created by GTS, the shipper can book wheeling services. This can be done in GEA or by means of a bookingform.
