Explanation network points

Explanation to the transport information in Dataport

  1. Firm Total (Entry/Exit) = technical capacity for transmitting gas physically to or from a specific networkpoint.
  2. Firm Available (Entry/Exit) = available firm capacity for transmitting gas physically to or from a specific network point (includes possible overbook capacity).
  3. Firm Booked (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers contracted firm capacity on a network point.
  4. Interruptible Total (Entry/Exit) = the total interruptible capacity on a network point in the forward direction in accordance with Appendix 7 of the TSC.
  5. Interruptible Available (Entry/Exit) = the available interruptible capacity on a network point in the forward direction.
  6. Interruptible Booked (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers contracted interruptible capacity on a network point in the forward direction.
  7. Total Backhaul = the total interruptible capacity on a network point in the counterflow direction in accordance with Appendix 7 of the TSC.
  8. Available Backhaul = the available interruptible capacity on a network point in the counterflow direction.
  9. Booked Backhaul = by all shippers contracted interruptible capacity on a network point in the counterflow direction.
  10. Firm (Entry/Exit) allocated quantity = to all shippers allocated quantity on a network point which could be transmitted via firm contracts.
    Provisional Firm (Entry/Exit) = the provisional firm allocated quantity.
    The quantity is a total count on portfolio level based data.
  11. Interruptible (Entry/Exit) allocated quantity = to all shippers allocated quantity on a network point which could be transmitted via interruptible contracts.
    Provisional Interruptible (Entry/Exit) = the provisional interruptible allocated quantity.
    The quantity is a total count on portfolio level based data.
  12. Backhaul allocated quantity = to all shippers allocated quantity on a network point which could be transmitted via interruptible contracts in the counterflow direction.
    De Provisional Backhaul = = the provisional allocated quantity in the counterflow direction.
    The quantity is a total count on portfolio level based data.
  13. Total Booked (Entry/Exit) = the contracted firm capacity (Firm Booked) plus contracted interruptible capacity (Interruptible Booked) on a network point.
  14. Nominated Quantity (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers ordered quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point.
  15. Confirmed Quantity (Entry/Exit) = by GTS confirmed quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point, based on nominated quantity.
  16. Allocated Quantity (Entry/Exit) = to all shippers allocated quantity on a network point to be transmitted via firm and interruptible contracts.
  17. Initial Nominated Quantity (Entry/Exit) = the quantity of the first confirmed nomination.
  18. Initial Interrupted Quantity (Entry/Exit) = the interrupted quantity of the first (wholly or partially) interrupted nomination. The first interrupted nomination is not necessarily equal to the first nomination.
  19. Initial Interruptible Quantity (Entry/Exit) = the interruptible quantity of the first interrupted nomination.
  20. Interrupted Quantity of Last Nomination (Entry/Exit) = the interrupted quantity of the last confirmed nomination.
  21. Interruptible Quantity of Last Nomination (Entry/Exit) = the interruptible quantity of the last confirmed nomination.
  22. Nominated Firm (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers ordered quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point via firm or interruptible contracts in the forward direction.
    The Confirmed (Entry/Exit) quantity is the quantity to be transmitted which is confirmed by GTS.
  23. Nominated Firm (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers ordered quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point via firm contracts in the forward direction.
    The Confirmed Firm (Entry/Exit) quantity is the quantity to be transmitted which is confirmed by GTS.
  24. Nominated Interruptible (Entry/Exit) = by all shippers ordered quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point via interruptible contracts in the forward direction.
    The Confirmed Interruptible (Entry/Exit) quantity is the quantity to be transmitted which is confirmed by GTS.
  25. Nominated Backhaul = by all shippers ordered quantity to be transmitted to or from a network point via interruptible contracts in the counterflow direction.
    The Confirmed Backhaul quantity is the quantity to be transmitted which is confirmed by GTS.
  26. Trade type Transfer Of Capacity rights (TOC) = all transport capacity rights are transferred from the seller to the buyer, i.e. the entire contractual position including the usage rights.
    In case of a Transfer Of Usage rights (TOU) the seller retains its contractual position and all its rights related to the capacity; only the usage rights and all related agreements are transferred from the seller to the buyer.

General explanation

Counterflow
Counterflow is a gas flow in the direction opposite to the physical flow direction of a specific network point. 
Counterflow does not occur at network points that have physical flow in both entry and exit directions (Oude Statenzijl high calorific, Zelzate and storages).

Mutual dependence
The free capacity on some border points is mutual dependent (´s Gravenvoeren/Bocholtz, Emden EPT/Emden NPT, Zevenaar/Winterswijk, Oude Statenzijl high calorific (OGE/GUD/Gascade) and Oude Statenzijl low calorific (GTG Nord/GUD).

Update frequency
Flows, nominations, confirmations and provisional allocations are (after some delay) updated at hourly basis.
The other data are updated at daily basis or longer.

Explanation of symbols:
c = Confidential, not applicable after 1 December 2011.

Explanation of signs
Capacity data and allocated quantity always have a positive value.
Flows, nominated and confirmated quantity that have a positive value stand for a flow that leaves the transport system of GTS (exit flow), a negative value stands for a flow that enters into the system (entry flow).

Explanation of units:
m3(n;35,17) = 1 m3 under normal conditions (zero degrees Celsius, 1 atm) with a calorific value of 35.17 MJ (Groningen-gas equivalent).
kWh = kilowatt-hour
