Establishing a new entry point
We intend to establish a new entry point.
Eems Energy Terminal (EET) has submitted a formal request to us to make it possible to contract entry for their connection with the GTS network that has yet to be realised. We want to facilitate this by creating one or two new entry points. EET has applied for a maximum entry capacity of approximately 15 GWh/h.
With this new entry, EET and GTS are fulfilling the EU's wish to attract additional LNG and thus become less dependent on Russian gas. In the meantime, EET has contracted two floating LNG installations (the so-called FSRU) for a period of five years. Since the creation of this new entry point(s) for GTS will result in additional capacity bookings, we believe this adjustment has a material positive effect.
According to the LNB Gas Transport Code, if a plan has a material effect on network users, we must enter into consultation with the network users. We do that through this news item.
You can submit your view on the determination of the above-mentioned new entry point(s) until 23 June at the latest and send it to [email protected]
