Feedback GTS market session balancing system
Balancing is an important part of the successful TTF Gasmarket and we were therefore happy to see that so many people joined the (virtual) market session on the 1st of July and that some participants gave their direct feedback in the session on our presented ideas.Afterwards we have received different written reactions and feedback of several representative organizations and several individual shippers.
In our presented conclusion we wrote that “the experiences with the existing balancing system are positive and the Dutch NC BAL implementation essentially works well, is simple, robust and effective and information to shippers is excellent (near real time) ”.In several reactions this conclusion was explicitly recognized. So, never change a winning team you could say, which was also written in some market reactions.
All your reactions will help us to understand and describe potential problems in a clear way. Based on these information and our advanced insights, it will eventually lead to proposed solutions which contribute to the market needs and the TTF liquidity. On the other hand there must be a fair and level playing field which is compatible with the goals and rules of NC BAL. Of course we will share this with you in a new market session. In this way we can test if our proposal(s) serve the market and solve the encountered problems.
