Final decision: 5 VIPs will go live on 1 April 2020

In the period November 2019 – January 2020 we successfully tested our systems and procedures with regards to the implementation of virtual interconnection points (VIPs). The involved TSOs from Germany, Belgium and GTS therefore made the final decision that the below-mentioned VIPs will be implemented on 1 April 2020, 06:00 a.m. The first marketing of capacities for these VIPs will start with the monthly auction for April 2020 where the auction starts on 16 March 2020.

With the implementation of VIPs between the TTF, ZTP, Gaspool and NCG, no capacity will be offered at the below-mentioned IPs (where the column VIP is filled with the corresponding VIP-code) as of 1 April 2020. The last capacity auctions for these IPs will be the day-ahead auction and the within-day auctions on 30/31 March 2020 for gas day 31 March  2020.

For transportation periods on/after 1 April 2020, 6 a.m., all capacity contracts will have to be concluded at the VIPs. Contracts already concluded at the above-mentioned IPs will remain valid. In a few weeks from now we will publish our VIP Transfer Service (VTS) that allows capacity owners to transfer (part of) the capacity from an IP to the corresponding VIP.

For nominating your capacity please use the network point where the contract resides. Also the confirmation and allocation  we send you will be on the network point where the contract resides.
