GTS again tenders both G- and H-gas peak resources for winter season 2022-2023
In the autumn of 2021, GTS conducted a tender to contract the necessary resources for the statutory peak task. The requested resources have not been contracted with this tender. This was partly because a number of market parties could not (fully) participate in the tender, because they were unable to meet the conditions set. GTS is therefore conducting a new tender with amended conditions. 24 tranches will be requested in the tender to be held.
For the coming winter season 2022-2023 (December 2022 to February 2023), GTS wants to conclude agreements on 24 tranches of 928 MWh/h each; 10 G-gas tranches and 14 quality neutral tranches (G- or H-gas).
The tender planning in outline:
• February 8 – February 28 pre-announcement GTS
• March 1 – March 14 tender execution
• 14 March award announcement
• The second half of March contracts concluded
The main features of the tender are as follows:
- Lead time is two hours instead of 30 minutes. This means that the call-up takes place at least two hours before the first hour of the desired delivery;
- The tender award decision will be given on the same day as the date of the tender deadline;
- It is possible to specify one entry point per tranche. This specification may also be issued at a later date, but must be established and communicated to GTS by 1 October 2022 at the latest. When using this option, only one price per tranche may be quoted, regardless of the entry point.
- Due to the adjusted lead time, it is now also possible to bid at border points (see the announcement document for the new points concerned);
- GTS will contract a maximum of 14 H-gas tranches.
Further information about the application can be found in the announcement document as published on TenderNed. The link to the publication on TenderNed will follow in a separate news item. You must register no later than March 10 to participate in the tender.
