Introduction of VIP TTF-THE-H with Trading Hub Europe (THE) will be executed on 1 april 2022
On 25 August 2021 we informed you with this newsitem that the integrated German market (Trading Hub Europe) is operational as of 1 October 2021. Two existing VIPs (VIP-TTF-NCG-L and VIP-TTF-GASPOOL-L) with Germany are merged into a new VIP between TTF and THE for L-gas: VIP TTF-THE-L.
Recently the German TSOs informed us that they are definitely ready to realize also the new merged H-gas VIP as of 1 April 2022. Two existing VIPs (VIP-TTF-NCG-H and VIP-TTF-GASPOOL-H) with Germany are merged into a new VIP between TTF and THE for H-gas: VIP TTF-THE-H.
Auctions
The first time VIP TTF-THE-H will show up in an auction will be the Day Ahead auction on 31 March 2022. All prior auctions with effect as of 1 April 2022 or later (Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly) will be executed on VIP-TTF-NCG-H en VIP-TTF-GASPOOL-H. These VIPs will disappear as of 1 April 2022 and all contracts on these VIPs will be part of the transfer process described below.
Automatic transfer of your current H-gas VIP contracts
As informed previously the existing VIP-TTF-GASPOOL-H (301548) and VIP-TTF-NCG-H (301545) will be merged into the new L-gas VIP between TTF and THE: VIP TTF-THE-H (301569).
The current H-gas VIP contracts will be transferred automatically to the new VIP TTF-THE-H (301569). This will take place after the results of the Monthly auction for April 2021 on 21 March 2022 are known. Your transferred VIP TTF-THE-H contracts will be available for use from 1 April 2022. Please be aware that already send nominations on the old VIP regarding gasday 1 April 2022 or further ahead, will be removed. After the transfer you will have to nominate on the new network point. Each individual shipper will, through its contractual contact person, be informed with regards to the new booking-IDs that result from this automatic transfer.
The VIP transfer service will remain available for you. With that service you can transfer (parts of) contracts on the underlying IPs to the merged VIP. Because we will change the H-gas IP-VIP setup in March 2022 the H-gas IP-VIP transfer service will not be available from 1 March 2022 until 1 April 2022.
Diversions
It is not our intension to limit the diversion possibilities. Below adapted TSC Appendix 3 will be published shortly before 1 April 2022. The only change is that diversion possibilities from and to the GASPOOL and NCG VIPs are replaced by possibilities to and from the new VIP TTF-THE-H.
Testing of the VIP setup
Shippers that are interested (or are asked by GTS) can test the implementation of VIPs. For that they can send nominations on the VIPs to the test site of GTS. For this, on forehand please contact the Nomination Support team (+31 50 521 2700 or [email protected]).
