Market consultation of assumptions for Groningen production estimation
In the Gas Act, GTS has been given an advisory role in the phasing out of the Groningen field. In this we indicate how much Groningen volume and capacity is needed from the point of view of security of supply. GTS uses a set of assumptions for estimating Groningen production. GTS will involve the market in determining these assumptions. During the market session on November 25th we will provide an explanation of our preliminary assumptions for gas year 2022/2023.
We will publish these assumptions on our website shortly before the market session. The actual market consultation will start at that time and will last until December 4th. After completion of the market consultation, we will conduct our analysis and send our advice to the Minister of Economic Affairs (end of January 2022).
