Start of Market Consultation on the 2026 Security of Supply Assessment

Gasunie Transport Services (GTS) has launched the market consultation for the 2026 Security of Supply Assessment. In this annual assessment, GTS analyses the security of natural gas supply for the 2027/2028 gas year and the subsequent years.

GTS has a statutory obligation to submit an annual security of supply assessment for natural gas to the Minister of Climate and Green Growth in September.

Before this annual assessment is finalized, the underlying assumptions and preliminary results are submitted for consultation to the representative organisations.

This market consultation will remain open for four weeks, from 9 July 2026 through 6 August 2026. GTS welcomes consultation responses and invites representative organisations to submit their comments to gasmarket@gastransport.nl.Responses submitted to GTS will be considered public unless the responding party explicitly indicates that all or part of the response should be treated as confidential.

GTS will review all responses received and, in the final version, will describe any resulting amendments to the consulted planning assumptions and preliminary results, where applicable.

After processing the responses, GTS will finalize the 2026 Security of Supply Assessment and submit it to the Minister of Climate and Green Growth no later than 15 September 2026.

The format and content of the final version may therefore differ from those of this consultation document.
