Results consultation neutral gasprice
On 10 July 2017, GTS issued a consultation about the use of the neutral gas price. With this news item we would like to inform you about the results of the consultation and the subsequent steps of GTS.
GTS received a response to the consultation from five parties. Unanimously there is a preference for the second alternative: implementing the neutral gas price calculation at PEGAS. In addition, three parties agree with GTS's proposal to use the latest calculated neutral gas price available in the case no neutral gas price could be determined.
The results of the consultation have been presented by GTS during an informal consultation with representative organizations on 31 August 2017 ("informal GEN consultation"). In addition, GTS has presented the code change proposal, which describes the method in case of a missing neutral gas price. The GEN must agree to code changes before they can be submitted to ACM for approval.
During the meeting with representative organizations, ICE presented a third alternative, the details and feasibility of this alternative will be elaborated. This alternative was not possible so far and therefore not included in the consultation. If this alternative is realistic, the available alternatives will be presented to the market and to the GEN. GTS will inform the market as soon as more information is available.
