Tariff decision 2021

On Friday May 22, ACM published the GTS tariff decision 2021. ACM has updated the inflation percentage that was estimated by GTS in the tariff proposal (from 2% to 1,6%), leading to slightly lower tariffs than proposed by GTS. The tariffs will take effect on 1 January 2021.

Neutrality charge
In addition to the tariffs, GTS establishes a neutrality charge in accordance with the Network Code on Balancing. This charge settles costs and revenues from balancing activities, including the linepack flexibility service, settlements following from emergencies and costs resulting from shipper defaults. Up until 2021, these costs and revenues were not invoiced separately, but were included in the transport tariff.
The methodology for the neutrality charge, is described in an amendment to the Transport code gas LNB. The corresponding amendment decision was published on May 22.

In 2021, the amount settled via the neutrality charge is approximately EUR 17,4 mln. The amount is approximately EUR 237k higher than was expected during the publication of the tariff proposal, due to a shipper default in 2019.
